June 19: Conscious commentaries from Bali. Hello everyone. I would like to share a profound teaching from the Work of the Master, DK. I have so far spent my day in contemplation and study in preparation for the seminar I will be giving in Portugal this October: Activating the Light. I came across the following passage from “Discipleship in the New Age,” Vol. I, pp. 42-3 that I believe can be of help to so many of us in these very challenging days. I have slightly modified and changed the wording so that this timeless wisdom written some 75 years ago is expressed in more currently spoken English. The passage is dedicated to “Courage.”
“It takes courage to make spiritual decisions and live by them; it takes courage to adjust our lives–daily and in all our relationships–to the needs of the hour and to the service of humankind; it takes courage to demonstrate to those around us that the present world catastrophe is of more importance to us than the petty affairs of our individual lives and our challenges in personal relationships; it takes courage to make real sacrifices, to refuse to give our time away to non-essential activities, and to deal with the physical world as if our physical body and material life were totally free from all impediments; it takes courage to work tirelessly for the benefit of others when under the pressures, nervousness, strain, and stresses of ordinary life.”
All of this and more take immense courage but such courage is a gift of the soul and as such, it is a gift of love to us and from us. Stay strong and be resolute my Friends. Persist and remain focused in the Will-to-Good.
With love and blessings to one and all, AO
