Joye in the bardo

Yesterday was the 49th day of Joye’s passing.   What a profound experience it has been and it seemed like I was just getting to know her.   Naturally there is sadness about her untimely death and that I didn’t get to know her better.

I wanted to do something special for Joye on this day of her liberation and I found this meditation/reading that I had tucked away for safe keeping.   It is perfect as a remembrance to her soul as it moves on into other more cosmic realms.

You remain an eternal secret.

You are not showy.

You cannot contain your own JOYE.

Selling the family farm

Griffin_GangHere is the Griffin gang after a long and emotional day of a farm auction.   It was the first major step in selling the family farm that has seen 4 generations of Griffin work the land.   My dear husband lived there until he moved away and went to college.   He never returned again to live there.   Roger on the (far left) with his family and their respective spouses.  I love this bunch of people more than I could ever imagine.

The first step was to auction off all the personal items and farm equipment.   It was a HUGE step or if I were the Donald it was a YUGE step!    Lots of memories around that place.   The original house has been gone for many years.   I hope one of these days I can see a picture of it.    It was still standing when Charles was a child.   His father (aka Grandpa Griffin) was born on this land and lived there his entire life not counting the last months of his life when he moved to a skilled nursing facility.
